Detailed Itinerary
Morning Departure
Depart Marrakech at 9:00 AM, driving south towards the Atlas Mountains. Watch as the landscape transforms from palm groves to dramatic mountain peaks. Stop at a traditional Argan oil cooperative to learn about the production of Morocco’s famous ‘liquid gold’.
Ourika Valley
Continue into the beautiful Ourika Valley, following the river through terraced fields and walnut groves. Stop at traditional Berber villages where life has changed little over centuries. Visit local homes and learn about Berber culture, traditions, and daily life.
Setti Fatma
Arrive at the village of Setti Fatma, gateway to the famous waterfalls. Those who wish can hike to the first waterfall (about 45 minutes each way) with a local guide. The more adventurous can continue to higher falls for spectacular views.
Traditional Lunch
Enjoy a delicious Berber lunch at a riverside restaurant with views of the mountains. Sample traditional tagine, fresh salads, and mint tea while relaxing in this peaceful setting.
Return to Marrakech
After lunch, return to Marrakech with stops for photos at scenic viewpoints. Arrive back at your hotel by approximately 5:00 PM.
